Support groups for pulmonary embolism patients

Treating patients with pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis is more complex than simply administering anticoagulation therapy. To help address the significant emotional impact of a venous-thromboembolism (VTE) diagnosis, educate patients, and bring them together to share experiences, we have been running a support group at the Brigham and Women's Hospital for over 15 years. Does your institution offer a similar support group? What is your experience from offering this type of service?
