MAGELLAN trial passes "proof-of-principle" test

Despite important bleeding complications, in the MAGELLAN trial rivaroxaban showed a 20% reduction in DVT and PE compared with enoxaparin after five weeks of extended prophylaxis, another advance in the battle against pulmonary embolism.
